Re: Yamaha Phazer Intake Backfire

As you are the competition I can't give out calibration maps, but I will share the basic setups to get you up and running with a uS and a Phazer.

Everything I'll mention is in here:
http://www.microsquirt.com/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=22851
But I will summarize:

First are you getting a reliable tach ...

Re: BIG Thanks

The engine is out of a Yamaha snowmobile. The competition limits us to 600cc and a 20mm restrictor in order to keep the speeds down. With the restrictor the max power is ~100hp, but we make a good bit less than that. We keep the weight to a minimum at 398lbs and the with the CVT off the snowmobile ...

Re: Wideband vs. Narrowband

The LC-1's are great and if you still have a stock ecu which needs the narrowband input, then you can connect the second analog output to the stock ecu's o2 in. It makes it so that you don't need to add a second o2 bung provided the stock location is upstream of the cat.

See the 8th section:

Re: Electric cooling fan wiring question

The microsquirt can drive a relay using one of the LED outputs. The LED outputs are what are called switched ground. So like your thermoswitch they complete the circuit from the ignition switch and the relay coil to ground.

So yes you can use the microsquirt instead of the switch. You might need to ...

Re: Why no uS case seals?

If you're concerned about weather in your mounting location, you can RTV the case, but coat the ends of the extrusion first, then install everything. After it sets up back out the screws one at a time and gob the holes full so it squeezes RTV under the screw heads, otherwise water will leak in at ...

5V regulator problem

My microsquirt's case was connected to an ungrounded engine block, while a team member repeatedly tried to start the engine. Basically the case was at 12V, while everything else was connected properly. Now my 5V regulator is reading strangely. The 12V in reads 12V, the ground pad reads 9.58V, and ...

Re: Another dropped cranking RPM

Oh that sounds great. I think we are all set as far as spares. I have 3 new ampseals, ~60 pins, two microsquirts, 2-3 of most every sensor and actuator. The only thing we don't have spare is hands for wrenching.

If you were to stop by our paddock however, we would like to thank you for all your ...
