Hey Dave,

After thinking about all the pro's and con's of the gas system from the converters to the plenum, I was thinking I could do this better than GRA and design my own throttle body controlled by MS like in an injection system. What do you think?

Cheers,

Shaun

Hey Dave,

I understand what you are saying completely. I have read into it a quite a bit and I agree with you completely, LPG in Australia is pretty much rubbish but you can buy 100% propane, not from petrol stations, but at outlets which allows car fill-ups. I am trying to remeber the name of the ...

Hey davezed,

To get the performance of the N/A LPG engine compression needs to be brought up quiet a bit 11:1ish. The octane rating on LPG is much higher ~ 106 - 120 (I have read sources that state both so I assume somewhere in between is believable).

I heard that about the Melbourne GRA as well ...

More power is to be had with a LPG only setup than with a petrol only setup. Only if the engine is rebuilt to suit though. Just add a hairdryer (I love that)

Yes, that is what I meant about boost and vacuum. You knew what I meant.

I feel much more comfortable to use the MS - II because it seems to ...

Hey Davezed,

The hairdryer (lol) has had alot of money spent on her. Although, the most important thing is the tune and a good dyno tuner is the single most important ingredient. I will not be starting the engines life on a MS - II system. Instead of have gone with a Haltech IG5 to get it going.

I ...

Hi davezed,

I am looking at producing 550 - 600hp out of my engine. To explain my setup further it is a 4.0Ltr OHC TFI ford engine with forced induction. So the N/A flow rate of the throttle body becomes redundant as the turbo will force air through it, which is why I have gone down the 2 ...

Hi davezed,

Hopefully I won't need to run the extra fuel bit that you are talking about but I would to know more about this extra gas under acceleration.

I will be running 2 fuel lines to 2 B2 converters to 1 s480 throttle body so it should supply enough fuel. I can still moddify the throttle body ...

Well my setup consists of a Gas Research Throttle body, which is effectively a a LPG carby, turbo and will use the standard tfi ignition.

I was planning on using all the sensors anyway just for the information.

That is what I was hoping. So the fuel calcs are completely independent of the ignition timing.

So I could build another MS - II and just not run any of the wires for the EFI side of things in the loom and it work exactly the same as an ignition only computer. Excellent.
