OK thanks, so if you set your lowest spark bin at 800rpm, does it use this value for the region of 400 - 800rpm too?

also, what is your timing at idle?

problems starting and blowing VB921's in vw 16v

Hi there,

I have fitted MS2 V3pcb code 2.34 MT 2.25 to my Vw golf 16v engine (9A or KR).

I had the car running (but very roughly) on MS a few weeks back, but was waiting for new larger fuel injectors to arrive. I have now fitted these, and am having trouble starting. I have ideas what this might ...

ok! it is making more sense now!!

i got a new vb921 (after i blew the last one) and got my engine started for the first time this evening, had to change the req fuel alot to get it going!

it is idling very rough, so i need to make a fair amount of adjustments/checks but i will be resetting the ...

Thanks for the reply philip! i havent actually got the engine started yet.. but was just reading up in readiness!

so just to clarify -

i should tune the req fuel at idle even if it idles 'ok'.
then , i shoudl reset it using the above method, which will change the whole VE table..

sorry to post this, as its probably been asked before and maybe im being stupid..

but im setting up my msII v3 in megatune, but im highly confused - the megamanual seems to contradict itself - please help!!

under the "PWM Time Threshold (ms)" it sasy set this to the same as injector ...
