But the basics are, it will work, but you need a pull up resistor (i take it this increases the signal to MegaSquirt) so that megasquirt can realise what rpm the car is doing.

So by doing this you omit the need for a crank angle sensor?

My dizzy has an optical pick up. Photoetched disc - with 360 'slots'.

Would this be too much for megasquirt?

So it would be a case of starting on petrol and swapping over to lpg once warm.

How does megasquirt know which set of injectors to use?

I have a car that runs on LPG (but uses petrol to start up with)

I want to know, could megasquirt be used to run both the petrol + ignition and the lpg + Ignition?

how hard is it to switch to a MAP sensor? Drill a hole in the inlet manifold, and stick a pipe in to the hole, and attach the other end of the pipe to sensor - bobs your uncle fannys you aunt?

Also, is there anyway i can use a MAF sensor rather than the MAP sensor?

yeah a UK spec SR20DE (with a RNN14/GTi-R head to be fitted).

I am looking at all different types of ECU for my car but i need to clear a few things up first.

1. Is the MegaSquirt2 a stand alone ECU (i can throw my Nissan ECU away) of simply a piggy back unit?

2. I would like to be able to adjust the advance and retard on the ignition (possibly have two ...
