Re: ALPHA-N or Map lag change.

For an engine like yours, I would use Alpha-N, the load is your TPS witch is a good indication of how much torque the engine outputs, I'm not a 2 strokes guru, but I think that the VE should be very constant in relation to throttle except for that exhaust valve that opens up and seem to have a huge ...

Re: MAP & IAT Sensor Locations

As said before, the MAP sensor will be unusable, ask me how I know, you can't tune a pulsing MAP signal, you will have a narrow load range, maybe at higer RPM but I'll use alpha-N all the way, it's the motorcycles are working

Re: Resets only when Laptop plugged into Microsquirt.

I had huge spikes on my logs, but it was false, it would not affect the engine operation, maybe it's what 24C was looking for

Re: Trigger offset values having unexpected effects

I guess he set the skip teeth to 4 to have his second channel 180°.
The correct setting for your application should be skip teeth = 8 witch will make two 8 teeth tach completing 720 ° rotation every 2 tach, right now both tach are made in a single revolution in a wasted spark manner, making cam ...

Hi

Thanks for this info... So your VTR is running a turbo?
Yes a K03, not very powerful yet, but I need to turn up the boost to 8 PSI

Re: no engine speed during cranking

Get a new pulse gen wheel, I had to swap my 12-3 for a 12-1 because the gap was too big, but mine is a V-Twin and compression was playing hell. The ECU reject the next pulse because the engine speed changed too much during the gap and make no sense.
You can download the tooth analyser and burn it in ...

Re: alfa-n tunning?

Not sure about your problem, but as soon as you leave the 20 % bin it start to blend up to the next bin.
I have found out that on the datalog, the MAP shows the real MAP snesor value, but if you check the VE line you can see the forced VE valut by the Alpha-N table.

It would help a whole lot to set ...

Re: Got it running...now I need some ideas

Use Alpha-N blend and if you are not running forced induction you could even use pure alpha-N, it's not possible to tune a twin with a big cam using speed density, the idle bins, light load, medium load are the same, making the fuel erratic.
My bike has a stock 245 ° cams @ 1mm and is a mess, I do ...

Re: MAP spikes

One mm restrictor should be enough, but you can disable the MAP accel enrichment and use the throttle only, or raise the enrich threshold
