Re: Reqfuel question

Ya makes sense, was just trying to figure out a good starting point, if I was at Reqfuel of 8 and I add 40% more power to the motor is it realistic to think that I up my Reqfuel 40%?

Re: Reqfuel question

I went from 840cc to 1000cc, 10:1 to 12:1 compression, bigger cams, biggers valves, cnc ported heads, etc. Same injector size and same RPM range. The guy I get parts from said I was going from about 105-100 HP to about 145-150 HP.

Reqfuel question

I have a Microsquirt running on a Vtwin kawasaki motor, it was about 105 HP at the flywheel. I have now built a 1000cc Vtwin motor lots of go fast goodies, estimated flywheel HP to be about 145-150. Thats about 45% increase. Is it a good assumption to raise my Reqfuel the same 45% as a good starting ...

Re: Need help with altitude compensation.

Hey thanks a bunch, I think I get it, I see that TS picked up the new file, makes a little more sense.

So I have a more general question about using blending ( I think I will wait to try MAF in the off season), this motor is a VTwin engine with pretty radical cams. Like I said earlier it idles ...

Re: Need help with altitude compensation.

I was just using MT as a reference to what I saw as a difference in the option description, I only use TS for tuning. I have a MAF sensor off both a 3.0L and 4.0L ford engine, is it really that hard to try using MAF for this situation, couple wiring changes and a few SW changes?. This cam is really ...

Re: Need help with altitude compensation.

I had a chance to have a good look over the weekend and looked closely at a few things. I hooked a vacuum hose to the second map sensor and used the mighty lung to suck on the hose to see if there was any affect. Under the Tuning/Real time displays/All channels of Tuner studio I was able to see that ...

Re: Need help with altitude compensation.

Tried the recommendation and no worky, The minute I go to the menu and switch to Speed Density/Alpha-N the motor dies, my second MAP sensor reads 99.6 (I am at about 600 ft elevation) so there should be almost no compensation going on according to my "Barometric Correction" table. I have the ...

Re: Need help with altitude compensation.

Thanks for the reply, I built a board with 2 map sensors, one for engine and one for atmosphere, they are both the recommended sensors for the Micro. I can read both the values and see that one in reading manifold (although I am in pure Alpha-N) and one is reading atmosphere. So I think that part is ...
