Re: Microsquirt Modules for Academic use

I found that AP Circuits in Canada was significantly cheaper than 4PCB with their standard thick boards, even after the $30 shipping is worked in.

The only problem with batchPCB (Sparkfun service) is the rules that they need to hit, my boards would not pass the Batch PCB check, but went right ...

Re: 2-cycle kart racing engine tech help

Why do you need to purge the system with gasoline?

Also there is probably a test mode that could be used for the purge, no need to even run the motor. Pull the injector and position over a catch can, go into test mode to run the pump and fire the injector, wait until it is all clear and shut it ...

Re: Microsquirt with 5 volt serial comms?

Thanks, I'll have to build an adapter circuit with another level shifter like another MAX chip. As I get closer to this project I'll have lots of questions about getting MAP and cam sensor signals from the motor to work with the MS controllers. It's an odd fire 45 degree v twin similar to a ...

Microsquirt with 5 volt serial comms?

Will the microsquirt work with 5 volt serial comms? I'm building a Bluetooth to serial adapter for a Buell motorcycle and eventually I would like to use this same adapter with a Micrsquirt on this bike. The Bluetooth module is 3.3 volt comms, with a voltage divider on the RX line to drop the 5v to ...

Gutting carbs to make throttle plate and injector mount?

I'm thinking of doing a Kawasaki Ninja 250 carb to EFI build and I know getting the throttle plates from a wreck are going to be very difficult because they did bring the Fi version to the USA yet. So what I was thinking is that I could get a set of carbs, pull out all the "stuff" inside and block ...

Re: ex250

Me too, probably going to buy one of these bikes this week. Hard part is going to be getting the throttles and other FI pieces to replace the carbs.
