Re: Reset Issues

The high power grounds are run together to the rear of the motor, the frame ground is to the frame, through the original wiring harness. I run a Bosch Igniter Module since I have a 4 coil on plug configuration. The Plug ground to the Bosch module are seperated from the rest of the wiring by at least ...

Re: Reset Issues

Hi Matt,

The ms gets its power from it's own main relay right off the battery, which feeds a 15A car audio power filter, then feeds the 2A fuse, which connects to the ms. FYI, I have also upgraded the alternator, which is capable of maintaining a system charge of up to 40A, the old system was only ...

Reset Issues

I'm having continued reset issues on my ms, while I have been using this unit regularly for about a year now, I have noticed that whenever the laptop is connected, I seem to get random backfires when starting and when I do get resets, it usually corrupts a VE, AFR or Spark table and throws some huge ...

Re: Duel VE Tables with Tunerstudio MS

Hello,

I'm happy to have ventured across this thread. I have a question regarding this as a similar issue. I tried to follow the directions above but was unable to locate the listed setup file in v1.004 of Tuner Studio, I also using v3.78 of code. I too would like to control two banks seperately ...

VE Table Question

Recently while tuning, I have had to push up the KPIA and VE numbers. I had added another MAP sensor and configured it for BARO, I also found that I had improperly grouped two injectors as well, which was causing a lean tuning issue around the transition from 4-5k rpm, the autotune tried to over ...

success is mine! LC-1 settings and microsquirt settings

I can officially bring this issue to a close, yesterday I took the bike down to the local shop where they had the Dyno. I used their WBO2 on their system to check the functioning of my system. I was correct, it was exactly 1 AFR unit off (lean). I then went and selected calibrate sensor again and ...

Re: LC-1 settings and microsquirt settings

Hello All,
So I recently decided to go through an Alternator upgrade, the current Alt. output is capable of; 28A and 400 watts, upgraded Alt. is capable of ; 45A and 600 watts. I rewired the bike by removing the stock fuse box and going with a newer ZX10 fuse box and relay box. In the process, I ...

Re: LC-1 settings and microsquirt settings

24C,

It's sounding more like this is a bigger issue than has been previously addressed..... Anyway, I am now stuck with a $300 (LC-1 controller and Bosch WBO2 sensor) that I can't utilize on this project... That's not helping me to think great thoughts about the overall project, even though I have ...

Re: LC-1 settings and microsquirt settings

24C,

unfortunately the WBO2 can't be moved closer in the exhaust and is not far downstream. It's about 30" after the exhaust port and just 1" behind the output of the collector. This section is just behind my feet on the pegs and this is a 2-2-1 system and not a 4-1 system. If I moved it foward, it ...

Re: LC-1 settings and microsquirt settings

Matt,

What Iv'e come to realize is that it's not possible to have a motorcycle battery power the LC-1 wideband system. The biggest motorcycle battery is only capable of 20Ah (unlike a big car or truck battery), the LC-1 is 1/4 of that capacity, plus a fuel pump, injectors and ECU equal a quick ...
