Re: No "tach" signal

HaHa! I think that everyone on the forum has a different story to share on how they got their input triggering sorted out! Modifying circuits, adding components, make a wish, say a prayer... anything that will make it work. But that is the purpose of this Megasquirt stuff afterall, isn't it?

So ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

The thing is that, whatever D_Mike is converting, he does not have many options to pick from. If he is looking to use what is already available on the market for an I4 engine and unless engine's intake spacing permit him to use two sets of readily available casted TBs, then his standard options are ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

I am afraid I cannot give a definite answer to this. I assume (but assumption is the mother of all f**** ups) that suzuki uses injectors from the same manufacturer and same line but with different flow rate. So it will fit.

Also check the link I posted above. The guy is working on GSXR600 TBs but ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

The GSXR TBs are quite handy because they can be separated and respaced to fit the engine. However the fuel rail will need to be modified in 99% of the cases. Fuel rail is a critical part of the setup regarding project success and most important SAFETY. I suppose you don't want to be riding a ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

24c nailed it down. I just might add that the GSXR TBs are tappered. For the GSXR600 the air intake is 42mm (ID) and tappers down to 38mm (ID). To put it simply, strange things will happen inside the TB with air flow and velocity. Maybe this compensates for bigger diameter TBs. Think the R&D dep at ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

GSXR 1000 K1 - K3 and GSXR 750 K1 - K3 have the same throttle bodies.

GSXR TB specs:

750 & 1000 from 2000-2003

750 & 1000 are essentially the same

80mm spacing between bore centres

270cc/m injectors

48mm ID, 54mm OD at inlet

42mm ID, 48mm OD at exit

600 from 2000-2003

As the ...

Re: Help with small injectors

I have appropriately sized bodies.

Just need 4 injectors. Ive searched ebay.uk but dont know bike model names/numbers.... Ive also been looking at some tiny car injectors...

Don't know if you are still interested.

Anyway, what are you using for throttle bodies?

I have converted my B4 ...
