MS software on a tablet?

Instead of hooking up my laptop (big and bulky on a motorcycle) can the MS communicate with a tablet for tuning? I'm not sure how I would handle all the parameters, but I'm mostly looking to log the diagnostics as I ride.

I would still probably plug into the laptop to adjust tables etc but I'm ...

Re: Help with selecting a Hall sensor

It would be easier to make a threaded bushing I would think.....almost like a helicoil. Not sure if something is available from a 14mm to a 12mm and then you could use one of these http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/hall-effect-threaded-body-crankshaft-position-sensor-p-489.html

But the more I ...

Re: Misc install questions > Noise and skip tooth gear

Thanks Matt.
I have to check again, but I didn't see any install directions with the Hall sensor and the DIY website doesn't give me a lot of particulars about the gear requirements.
I do see a nice drawing and a 3D model but nothing specific about the preferred tooth gap. It is the $34.00 Hall ...

Misc install questions > Noise and skip tooth gear

In no particular order :)

I'm reading a quite a bit about noise....and I want to avoid it!
--Do the injector wires generate much noise?
I plan to use to BIP373 to fire my coils. Does the wiring from the coils to the BIP373s generate a lot of noise? and how close can I put the BIPs to the actual ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

Just to clarify a little bit.
I am basically putting a FZR1000 jugs and head on a XJ700X cases. Both engines were the genesis 5-valve design liquid cooled 10K redline.

I plan on using a hall sensor with a custom skip tooth sprocket (either 12 or 24 tooth) where the old pick up used to be. It will ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

Just looking at pics of the two different TBs the fuel rails are much different. I agree that I doubt the injectors would be any different on the connection so I SHOULD be able to take the rail off the 1000 and modify it to fit the 600 TB with my new spacing.
Time will tell :)

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

Will the fuel rail parts from the 750/1000 TB fit the injectors from the 600?
If so, that would make it easy. They are plastic junctions with orings and metal tube between (easy)....
The original 600 looks to be a solid casting with machined ports (not so easy)

I know the bodies on the 600 still ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

OK.....FINE. I'll buy a 600 throttle body set up.

I know you guys are probably right.
Most likely what will happen is I will buy a 600 throttle body and the 1000 will sit on my shelf right next to a bunch of other parts I bought for this project and won't use.

Anyone got a set of throttle ...

Re: Throttle body choice '88 FZR 1000

I plan on a skip tooth 24 tooth (maybe 12) with a Hall sensor on the crank where the existing pick-ups used to be.
Drop the TCI completely (just to make it more challenging)

The 600 TB would be a bit easier to fit...and I'm more interested in lower rpm response along with the more casual ...
