According to my peak kpa, I'm only seeing 13.6 psi boost. Either my VDO mechanical boost gauge is off, or my brain isn't processing the quick glance over to it as the road is rushing up.

I'm trying to get a set of stuck rings to seat (new motor was assembled then sat for a year +). Nothing has ...

Need sage experience - 42 lb/hr or 47 lb/hr injectors

Hey all,
I could use some EFI wisdom. With my current 38 lb/hr injectors @ 3bar I'm seeing the following:

72% duty cycle at 196kpa, 5073rpm, 72% throttle, and 10.8:1 AFR

I obviously need to step up the injector size a bit. I have two options that I can find: 42 or 47 lb/hr high impedance Bosch ...

 just checked the ohms across the injectors and they're low impedance after all. Yikes. Could I have hurt anything while running them??

The blown fuse mystery is now solved.

Hi Duncan,
Thanks for the feedback. From my latest run around the block, I got an 72% duty cycle at 196kpa, 5073rpm, 72% throttle, and 10.8:1 AFR. So yeah, you're right about maxing out the injectors! Even after leaning things out, it looks like I need to step up the injector output.

However, I'm ...

15psi boost = blown injector fuses

I'm not sure which section to put this in, but here it is. I've been tuning / playing around at about 11psi boost pressure. Last night I turned it up to 15-16psi for the first time. It was running well doing some short ~70% throttle spurts. Then I gave it a good full throttle shot for a couple ...

Thanks folks! Just ordered the msd-2222. I figure there's no reason *not* to have the adjustability.

ps - is there a recommended value for the idle pulse width?

Recommend a fuel pressure regulator for turbo?

Hi folks,
My cheap ebay special regulator is, well, cheap. I can't get it push anything under ~48psi (at atmospheric pressure), and it doesn't seem to be changing fuel pressure when I rev the motor / differing MAP values. The gauge reads up to 150psi (why??) and flickers by ~5psi at its steadiest ...

Zeitronix WBo2 Software vs. Megatune

Is there a reason for them being inconsistent with each other? The Zietronix logging software will read AFR values of 10-11:1 compared to Megatune's 12-13:1!

I doesn't seem to be running that rich, so I'm tempted to trust the Megatune output. I'm wondering why the Zietronix software would be ...

Barometric Correction - Initial MAP? None?

Hey folks,
I'm setting up the basics of mt msq file and I want to make sure that I understand each option!

I did a search and didn't come up with an answer to the basic question- should I turn baro correction on to "initial map read" or set it to "none"?

I'm running a mostly street car, full ...

That's what I've seen, although intuition was making me think fuel would push up from the bottom against the spring and bleed off - which is apparently incorrect!

Anyway, I ended up discovering that my fuel system is leak-free at least up to 75psi :)b
