Very high VE values at low RPM
All the time I've been tuning so far, I tend to get extremely high VE values in the low RPM/medium to high kPa when using MSTweak. I've once seen a topic about it where people talked about air leaks in the buterfly axle that would allow for a sudden increase in pressure as soon as the throttle ...

IMHO 80 kPa is definitely not correct. Means that you have hardly any vacuum in your inlet manifold. If I were you, I'd check the intake for any air leak between the buterfly and the head: injector bungs, manifold to head gasket, vac line to the brakes, well every hole in the inlet or junction ...

I'vedone some math myself and I havec ome to the conclusion that my opening time must be around 0.6 ms. I typed this in and the idle is A LOT more stable. Also I get very good idle and off-idle running with all the squirt patterns the 4 cyl will run on (2 and 4) without O2 getting lean or rich ...

Re: Tuning MS2 Manual clarification
Â
So, if I may rephrase in my own words:
Â
1) I start with a best guess req_fuel value and VE table;
2) Once its running and warmed up I adjust req_fuel on the "Injection control" page (lower window) until I get a good idle and this "adjusted" req_fuel value is then what it ...

FPR pressure acts funny
Next step in my quest for a long-lasting FPR (the "oh God that one's gone after three days, hope the next one on the shelf is the one!!" kind of quest...), I've put a Bosch FPR that says 0 280 160 213 and I hope the 13 makes me lucky! When I look around on the net, I find that this unit is ...

jonfx4com's technique didn't meet much success on my setupa as there was no way I could simply make the engine idle when altering the number of squirts. Looks like my opening time is way off what it should be. I'll go back to that later, as ...

2 FPR dead in a week!! Experiences?
Less than a week ago I changed my FPR because it would let fuel into the vacuum hose to the intake. Now the unit I installed (junkyarded out of an alfa) is doing the same. Is this a known symptom on FPR or should I be looking for another problem that could serial kill my FPR's??
The replacement ...
