3d maps

Take a look at the TUNING menu to the far right in
Megatune. Both the VE and SPARK tables have real time #D
map tuning capabilities.

Need more KPa in the Y axis of my map..

For one thing...fix that 12 kpa...I assume it's suppose to
be 120

simply re-format all your kpa to every 15kpa rather than
every ten.

The scale does not have to be linear. you actually want
more settings around the areas of the map that you usally
run. Like more at crusie, idle. The top most ...

Measuring dwell / charge current

...but overall coil current is NOT the objective to
measure here... it's the rise time of the coil current so
the proper dwell can be set.

The .1 ohm resistor is simply to give you something to
have a voltage drop across so you can measure the signal.
Probing the drain of the of the VB will ...

runs leaner at full temp???

running MSnS-E/MT225/029q2/v3/straight 6 cyl/crank fired wasted spark

Am I simply missing something simple here?? It seems like once my car is well warmed up... over all, across the whole range the car seems to run leaner! Even my idle VE numbers need to be adjusted down to lean out the idle.

It ...

Idle mixture Fuel pressure!!

On an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.... should the pressure be set 'with' or 'without' the vacuum pipe attached??

In other words.... for a setting of 43 psi.... should it be adjusted WITH the vac attached (so the 43 is the highest pressure) or set it WITHOUT the vac attached so the 43 psi is ...

So where are excel attachments for table generation?

I just pulled down the s.s. copy directly from the email
link in Werner's post earlier in this thread. Other than
that...I'm not sure which s.s. you're talking about.

Go to the Forums site proper, and back peddle through the
thread and look for Werner's link to his s.s. on his
website.

Need basic procedure for setting up timing and advance

Even without FI... the stock carb'ed Triumph GT6 and late
Spitfires were dynamically timed at 4° ATDC (not btdc)

My current Spit6 project ms'ed with crank fired wasted
spark...will idle from around 20atdc to 40 btdc. sure i
have to play with some other settings..but it WILL do it.

So where are excel attachments for table generation?

he he... yep... I realized how stupid my comment was
...just after I sent it. I had only glanced at the s.s.
and saw the table with 47 in the lower right corner...
thinking your generated table was setting 47 'aditional'
to initial timing .
yep... Burgess's book is a great reference for this ...

So where are excel attachments for table generation?

woah.... Werner..you're running 47° of advance on your
B!!!?? I though 36 was about the safe max f or the cam
in our b-series engines. Or are the numbers in the s.s.
scrambled or not totally realistic??? My own curves are
not nearly as advanced on my '73 BGT. which model dist ar
those numbers ...

coilpack help needed

Is the coil pack wired so all three coils at one end are tied together? Is that point hardwired to a earth ground mount point? If not just wire the common terminal to +12V, the other ends of the coils to your VB's.
