Thanks Lance

It only really gets used on track so ecomony is not that important.

Many Thanks

MAP bin selection

Hi All

Is there any reason to have MAP bins below your idle map reading ?

I know you will see greater vaccum on the overrun but when I open the throttle do I need some lower bins to accomodate this ?

Thanks in advance

Very interested in how you have done this.

Are you running speed density or Hybrid ?

Don't suppose you want to post your MSQ ?

I was using the Megasquirt just to fire the second set of injectors on my Turbo Busa now I am using it for both. Going to have a go at initial mapping tonight.

If your ...

oops I just read you are using an MC4 for spark.

Why not go Megaquirt I and run extra code and use that for spark ?

Cheers

Three of us are building Busa dragbikes, all MSII and all MC4 for spark. None of us are shooting for 500, but my friend has all the good stuff in the motor and may make a run at the low 7s maybe sixes :!: I would be happy with 8.20s. We are all running Turbonetics t3/t4 turbo, 650 RC injectors ...

Constants and how MS works

Hi All

Hope someone can help with my understanding of the constants page.

If we consider a 4 stroke engine.

Am I correct in thinking the number of cylinders in the constants page is saying how many pulses the MS gets per 720deg of crankshaft rotation ?

So for a 4 cylinder engine set to 1 squirt ...

Can I rely on my wideband when starting ?

It dies a few cycles after the initial start. When I look at the log the wideband is saying it is going really rich, richer than 10:1

Should I ignore this or do I need to reduce fuel after start ?

Cheers

I could not find a copy of MT and an ini file for an MSQ that old. That version must be about 100 releases back. I don't keep ways to open the realy old stuff. When I did get your msq to oppen I was getting all of the starting settings coming up 0ms. Not being shure weather this was an error ...
