I've searched, but have been unable to locate some schematics for the newer v2 microsquirt. anyone know where they are or if they are available?

Re: Ignition trigger setup on 08 Kawasaki Ninja 250?

there are quite a few bikes with that trigger wheel pattern. it would be nice if it were supported natively.

with regards to grinding the large tooth off, make sure its not one of the teeth you need to use as a tach tooth. because, you could always grind it down to the size of the smaller teeth ...

Re: ducati v2 motor 91-99

the two pickups are both normal VR sensors. mounted exactly 90* apart on their mounting plate. the flywheel has one single tooth. the stock coils are garbage, so use some better aftermarket single tower coils. if you have the coils from the factory efi version, those work well too.

this setup ...

Re: Setting up ignition

the only real problem i for see is the ducati's propensity to nearly stop dead while cranking. no doubt light cranks, light flywheels, higher compression and the racer's choice of the smallest battery around only exaggerate the issue. granted, the newer 4v's are better, but still, some of those long ...

which duc engine is this for? i'm going to try to squirt my first 4v sometime this week, or next. its a shallow sump 999 in a 916 chassis.

do you have any trigger info wrt to the 1098 engines? is it still the same 48-2?

the P7/P8 ecu'd desmoquattro's use the twin trigger setup. 851/888/916 early ...

Re: Setting up ignition

the two teeth are consecutive.

be mindful that the cam gear rotates opposite of the crank direction.

the vertical cylinder fires first, 30 teeth later the horizontal cylinder fires. or yeah i guess you could consider the horizontal firing first, and 18 teeth later the vertical fires

Re: Still losing tach; looking for new theories (Solved!)

good luck with the tuning!

bike engines are easier to tune, i find, than car engines. pure alpha-n, lots of cam, and little inertia make for fun 4th gear power slides. oops... that was a customer's bike
