newbie questions about bosch 3 wire IAC

For all resistors 1/4 watt carbon or metalfilm types can be used (smaller). The two fet's, IRF540 or equiv, don't need any heatsinking.

PIP signal 5 V instead of 12 V

Depends if you load the pip signal. Try to measure the signal with nothing connected to it.

knock sensing

Spi com can also be done with 'normal' i/o pins. I'm also testing the chip and it works just fine with my spi less 80c552 board.

Toyota 3 Wire PWM IAC doesn't act like the Bosch - ideas?

It doesn't have to be a IRF540. They were just lying around when i made the circuit.
Current draw will be no more then about 1A. So any powerfet that can handle more then that should work fine. Or use an equivalent....

Best option for IAC??

I'm running a g60 turbo and use the std idle valve. I placed it between the manifold and the output of the ic. This way it doesn't matter if it leaks under boost.
If you're using the original setup then you will loose boost pressure. You can get conversion kits for this.

ASE observations

As temperatures are going down i noticed that it took two times to get the engine started. Sometimes it could just pick up from 300rpm and restore idle.
First thing i tried was increasing the ase from 30% to 40%. Didn't do anything. Next was a further increase to about 80%, same result. Took it back ...

Fast idle valve suggestions?

This is already been done by brian fielding. Look in the yahoo archives for
the code!
Am I the only one using his code?
