Jon k, your fuel graph should be fairly smooth if the engine is stock.

as far as your "Blip" is concerned, watch your accell enrichment "AE",

my guess is it is dumping too much fuel.

I turn mine off completelly ( set tps dot threshold V/Sec to 12 or 15 ) this WILL cause a lean spot if the ...

I find it easier to manually tune it innitially to rough it in, Auto tune takes a while, too long if it is running real bad.

just set your EGO corrections to 10-15% and step size to 2-3%.
watch the EGO correction guage, if it is 85% the start bringing the ve bins in that region down till it is in ...

V-tech 2.2 tuning accell

I just got MS&Se up and running on my 99 prelude, I am using 029q on a v3 board. as of now it is just fuel, I want to scan the stock ecu to try to get a baseline spark curve before I start tuning spark.

for the most part it is running great, considering I have spent less than an hour tuning it.

My ...

Manufacturers only use waste spark because it is cheaper to manufactur then hand you a line that it is better since it fires on exhaust stroke. Waste spark plugs ...

Hey Guys,
I am also quite happy to report that 2.36 appears to be working like a charm. THANK YOU AL!!!!

no scope paterns yet but it does warm up nicely, comes al the way down and the IAC appears to do everything I tell it to.

one thing I did notice while testing it, I set my cranking value ...

Joe, there was no change in the code versions that would affect anything about the IAC. The moving only mode only enables the stepper before a move and disables it after. If the always on or always on for 15 min makes things worse, it is possible you have a wiring problem that is making the stepper ...

oe,

There were no changes to stepper motor logic between 2.3 and 2.6 versions. In both versions there are two modes which can act to make the stepper look like its not working properly, that is, not following the steps vs temperature table.. The first is that you can force a faster idle than the ...

I decided not to completelly give up on MSII, so I loaded 2.66,

Here is what I can decern:

IAC controll IS acivated on initial COLD start, I.E. it has a high idle.
However, it will stay at that high idle point, or close to it, until WE mode is de-activated.

this is to say, I started it ...

Joethemechanic, I had some similar wierdness when changing code versions once that I think had to do with it getting corrupted somehow

That makes sence, sort of, but how does one know? should I try loading the code with an older computer that has a built in DB9 seirial port?

th weirdness is ...
