Using a Yamaha R1 coilpack with EDIS-4

Hello

I have a coilpack from a yamaha R1 that I wanted to use with EDIS-4 (to go along MS2), and after verifying the resistance, I find this:

Primary resistance from the R1 coilpack : 3 ohm

Primary resistance from a ford escort coilpack : 1.3 ohm

My two questions are:
Should I substract the 0.7 ...

There isn't code yet for MS2 to drive two or more coils, but it is on the wishlist.

James

Nice, hope to see that day come. Meanwhile I'll just get an EDIS module then.

By talking about a wishlist for MS2, is there a place we could see that list?

I'd be curious what are the future plan for MS2 ...

Ok well after much more research, I know now that MS2 support only 1 direct ignition coil.

So here's a few possibilities that I could use:

1: Use an EDIS module with a coilpack in a wasted sparks configuration.
2: Use my stock distributer (I'd prefer switching to coilpacks for reliability issues ...

Coilpack with wasted spark with NO EDIS ?

Is it possible to add an additionnal VB921 driver on an MS2 with v3 to run two direct coil trigger?

That way, I could run a coilpack directly on my 4cylinder, without an EDIS module.

If it's possible to add one, how hard it is ? Also, is the software able to run it ?

On another side, is it ...

you could just use the MSII fuel pump output to drive a relay that supplies your original fuel pump relay with power making the original relay operable by either controller. You might want diodes in the power lines to prevent one controller from backfeeding the other.

That's exactly what we did ...

As electronic is not my field (computer programming is), anyone can confirm if I understood correctly hows the ignition works on a 3sgte?

Here's how I see it. If ...

Do you think your code, or anybody's code, would work for a toyota with a 24 tooth wheel and a 2 tooth wheel dizzy? It would be nice for the late 80s and early 90s toyotas out there.
