This is very common..

If there is a miss, the raw air and fuel gets dumped into the exhaust. The wideband O2 sensor reads this as being very lean as there is alot of unburnt oxygen.

The advace looks good for the high KPA map areas, but might be a little much for the low KPA areas.

According to the ignition table you posted, you car is not idling at 6*.

Why only 10* timing at the 1200 and 1600 rpm bins below 100kpa? I'd expect your car to run like a dog at lower rpm and throttle.

That looks like way too much advance everywhere to me. Have you confirmed the timing with a light?

Confirmed with a light the best I can...

And why do you think it's too much timing? It's well known that most older american V8's like about *36 mechanical timing and a vacum advance of approx 15 ...

They dont need to be the same although you probably want them to be for ease of tuning.

Yes, just click on them and change it to whatever you want.

Dont know about the greyed out bin..

Looks like your table needs some work yet Allen.

Here is mine. Engine is a Ford small block V8 with approx 9.5:1 compression. Table is still pretty conservative, could probably add 2* or more to most bins.

Fuses dont blow instantly.. What happens with something like fuel injectors(on-off very quickly) is that the fuses start to act like a fuse for the average current...not the peak current. When you increase the duty cycle, you increase the average current through the fuses which can cause them to ...

You might also want to try turning down the dwell. Too much dwell makes for a hot coil..combine that with a hot engine compartment and you could have problems.

Thanks guys,

Most of my info is in my sig. MSII, V3 PCB, 2.36firmware, MT2.25

I've already bypassed the ballast resistor.

64vair: I don't think the MS controlls the actual spark burn time. I always thought that burn time would be determined by the amount of energy stored in the coil and the rate ...
