Replacing low with high-impedance injectors

I have an MS 2.2 board running MSNSe with the flyback board. Up until this past weekend, I was running a Rochester TB with 2 low-impedance injectors. I will be converting now to a 4bbl TB with 6 individual bosch injectors. For now, what I have are 18# and I believe they are high impedance.

Assuming ...

That contraption looks a lot like the throttle body I purchased first, which was from a Catera. If you operate the butterfly manually, you may hear some gears turning. If you can take the large black cap off the end you may see gears as well as a board with some resistive traces and the associated ...

I was using a Rochester TBI until recently. I was able to extend the pintle by uncrewing it until it came out, then screwing it back in a turn or two.

As of last weekend, I have an air sensors style 4bbl throttle body with the same type of IAC. However, there is a port on top that appears to be ...

What about removing the airbox and fuel distributor altogether. Connect each CIS injector line to something like an injector valve but without the spray component. Add a TPS to the stock throttle body. I am thinking back on my 82 Scirocco, which is long gone, so I may be missing something. Anyway ...

By the way, I replaced Q3 with a TIP31 and now the relay works as it should.

I wonder if a TIP31 (Available from RadioShack - locally) would work as a replacement. Seems right.

Fuel pump relay not working

I verified that that signal from the cpu to Q3 is being switched on for 2 seconds like it should be, but the fuel pump relay never energizes. The voltage at the base of Q3 actually stays around 8V no matter what. If I short the collector to ground the relay clicks on, so I guess my boards are wired ...

Thanks for the information. It would still be a cool project. But I guess I'm opting for a GM TBI just so I can get this thing going. I've been running spark only with advance and dwell control for a few months now.

Perhaps the TPS can be configured to work with Megasquirt and I'll work with the throttle motor seperately. It has two encoders in the event of failure, so I imagine only one could be wired in a resistor network fed from the 5V supply. They don't make the throttle cable for my car/engine combo ...

Fly by wire throttle control (Bosch)

Has anyone wired up a Bosch fly by wire throttle body to megasquirt? What I have looks just like what is outlined on this page:

http://www.siliconchip.com.au/cms/A_103261/article.html

Basically, it's two potentiometers and a DC throttle control motor. I'm glad I was able to see one of these up ...
