I have a gas research turbo lpg only car and I found that fuel has no effect on timing, I connected as many sensors as possible or terminating them to ground to stop floating inputs.
The sensors were very useful to check temps and I plan to use coolant retard and inlet air temp retard as well.

Ms2 V3 with a locked dizzy hall sensor.
I am going to switch to crank trigger.
I was using last interval but went to first derivative. With little worse of but I think I have excessive dizzy drive movement.

I have had similar issues. That is interesting information to know.

For me Last Interval was the only stable setting as everything else was to erratic.
I am going to move the trigger to the flywheel rather than the distributor just to make sure there is no play in the drive.

I have done exactly the same thing.
You need to install the components for negative coil trigger input (no ignition control) and then when you’re ready to incorporate ignition re install / remove components for square wage input.

I have been trying to get My mega squirt v3 running only ignition to give stable ignition.
I have a few questions that I can't find answers for.
