Ok so i searched and searched (a while ago) and never found anything that said exactly the differences between each Ignition setting ...


i Have been using Last interval... 0 predictor gain...

so yea what are the differences between each ... like the calculations and what not... ???

well i tweeked my .ini file so i can drop my dwell to zero.

after fiddeling around this is what i noticed...

anything below .5ms Dwell time caused popping and the car to die... very suttle at .4-.3 ms and at .2-.1 ms the car dies quickly..

from 1 ms to 25.5 ms i cannot HEAR or FEEL a smoother or ...

Well i burned in the 2.686t6 beta and got the latest ini. file...


i dropped my Spark Duration time down to 2 and then while driving (not because of problems just to see) i dropped it to 1.5..

i got the latest INI file... what was changed in S.Bretz INI ...

ill go ahead and set the dwell time to .01

i know i read about the ICM controling the dwell ... never occured to me to turn MS control to zero...

Did you fry an ICM .. going over 2ms of dwell time... Did you have running problems...

at first i was only running 8ms.. the max allowed by MT config file...

then i edited it to allow 25 ...

didnt really notice a differenct in functionality... and its been running for quite a while at 25ms ...

yea there was a thread about this some time back... all we have to do is wire a constant 5 volt lead to the bypass and set your ignition to trigger return..... i am running my 5V from my 5v TPS lead off the relay board... works like a charm...

Im tuning my AE on my satty now ... any tips...

I have my mapDOT threshold set to 65 use to be 50 but i often got AE enrichment after start up from the sudden vaccume...

i have my TPSdot set at .8 anything less then .5 gets noisy... anything more then 1 seems to give me a bad stumble ...

Question for the Gurus: The component values for the oscillator RC network on the 2916 are out of the range specified in the Allegro 2916 datasheet. Could this be an issue?


I'll answer my own question, YES. If I force the 2916 motor driver into an over current condition, it disables the output ...

wish I could try it out... still workn on rebuilding my engine from the Flood...
