lance,

i don't know what you mean by a dial-back timing light(my english isn't perfect): I'm using a timing light that indicates the advance, rpm, and the DWELL.
I have only connected the inductive clamp to the spark plug wire from the cylinder 1. I know that the frequency of the spark is twice ...

Nobody can helps me?
This problem seems very weird to me: When i decrease the big number, does this normally influence the real ignition advance seen by the timing light?
If yes, I will never be able to match the number displayed by the timing light.

So: when I decrease the big number to match the ...

i followed the informations in the EDIS section of MS II so i think that it's OK:

* Trigger offset = 10° (this will vary, depending on the wheel/pickup configuration),
* Ignition Input Capture to 'Falling Edge',
* Cranking Trigger to 'Trigger Return',
* Coil Charging Scheme to 'EDIS',
* Spark ...

trigger offset

hello everybody,

I found another problem today with my MS II and EDIS :

My trigger offset in Megatune is 20 ° but my advance measured with a timing light is 10 °.
So, when I try to match the two numbers, the number displayed in Mt (trigger wizard) decreases to, for example 17° but my advance ...

stupid question

Well, In the EGO settings, we can adjust the number of ignition events per step, but with 4 cylinders and EDIS system (so signal PIP ), 4 ignition events (for example) are equal to one or two engine cycles?
i'd say two cycles because there are 2 PIP per cycle but i'm not sure

Thanks for the answer ...

Ok, I didn't think that the fact of loading the PIP would decrease the voltage but I'm going to measure the signal with nothing connected.

thanks.

I have measured the signal with an electronic scope and i saw that the signal was a square wave of 5 V.
i don't understand, i think I'm going to use another EDIS module to see if the problem is the module.

Thanks.

PIP signal 5 V instead of 12 V

Hello,

I have a little problem: my engine is running very good with MS II and the EDIS ignition but the PIP signal isn't 12 V but 5 V!!

My trigger wheel is OK, my Vr sensor is Ok: I think that the problem comes from the EDIS module.
If someone has informations about that, it would be great.

Kind ...

Hello,

I don't understand this:

Are you sure that this doesn't correlate real life?
it does correlate

Could you explain this with other words (less complicated to understand and to translate in french?)? What do you mean by real life??

i'll try to see the current dip with a scope this week ...
