we have just finished tuning and it is wwwwwaaaaaahhhhhooooo fast

just for playing at cruises etc i set the limiter low down about 3k but just splutters, is there any way of cutting spark for longer so it pumps in more feul to get some pops and bangs from the pipe

the car is rally styled escort cosworth replica so would look the part

Do that one too many times, you'll blow the face of the exhaust valve loose from the valve stem, and that's it for your motor.

That said, I used to do it all the time on the Harleys at the rental shop where I worked. It was great for getting rid of tailgating cars.

I've never done it on a fuel injected vehicle. It works great on anything with carbs.

What you do on a bike is just turn off the killswitch. This shuts off the spark. But you're in gear and moving, so the engine is still pumping air, and the carb is still delivering fuel. So the exhaust fills with a fuel air mix. Then you turn the killswitch back on, and the engine starts firing again. The first time an exhaust valve opens, the fuel mixture in the pipes is ignited, creating a loud bang.

It's a REALLY BIG backfire.

no way of ms doing it on efi car by using kimiter and more fuel??

maybe you can do it without the limiter!

So if you decel you're in certain MAP area. Watch for this value and modulate you ve table in that region to mega super richt or something. So MS will squirt much more fuel when you're decelling (does this word exist in english?) :lol: Same with spark if you control spark. Retard the timing some degress and hell is here...... :-)

I got it like this. I've a whole row in the 20kpa area because my car decells with that value... it pops and crackles all the time when you lift of your foot, hehe

BUT don't try this with a catalytic equipped car! You destroy it with the unburned fuel and if you do this many times your cat will glow like a turbo after a 24 hours race, hihi
