is this a malfunctioning MAP sensor/MAP sensor circuit?

Post by wicked93gs »

hoping someone will read and make some suggestions, anyway, I have found when i first start my car, it will start misfiring and spluttering at 30kpa or so...but as I leave it on longer, it will eventually misfire and splutter higher and higher in the KPA range...until eventually it will only splutter and misfire in boost....now to me, this certianly has the possibility of being a map sensor malfunction, anyone else ever experience something like this?

if the map sensor is reading right, which is easy enough to check, it shouldn't have anything to do with it.... are you sure its not your tune?

Are the settings for WUE and ASE ok?

Maybe there is the problem. When your MAP reads between 90-100kpa (expecting your are near Sealevel) when the engine isn't running and after starting 30 then its ok I think.

Maybe your ASE and WUE are too rich or to lean....
