hey there guys...
i am running 8 injectors on my car, ms v2.2..i replaced my cooling fan with a larger one and fitted an auxiallary fan too.every time the fans kick in...the car stumbles...in real time display, the battery voltage drops to around 11volts and the rpm flickers between 600 and 1200 and i have to catch the car with a blip to the throttle...sometimes it dies.when the fans cut out...idle is ok...the alternator in the car is a 45 amp unit.
i once read about someone whose fan was causing noise in the rpm signal....is this the case or is my alternator running out of breath

It could be either. A datalog is the best way to tell. Can you make one and post it? Give us some details on the vehicle, processor and code as well.

Do you have any sort of idle control currently being used? I'm guessing no from your problem description. Is it possible to set up control of an IAC valve of some sort on your vehicle?

If you cannot use an IAC valve (or choose not to for whatever reason), I would suggest raising your idle as a bandaid for the issue.

throttle stop was a bit loose so idle had dropped...fixed it and its better but still some spikes...i will post the datalog tomorrow....
there is something that is driving me crazy....on the tuning page of megatune,both the ve numbers are the same...its killing me...i cant tune the thing...the red and the green readings are the same...if i were to raise the red digit then the green one would increase too....exact same numbers...

i am running ms1 v2.2,megatune 2.20...its the only version i could get to talk to the ms.i am running fuel only....i had a couple of ICs burn out on the board that i got replaced...
the engine is a fiat 2liter twin cam...i am running a ct20 turbo,eight 20lbs injectors and the idle valve off the original l jetronic and planning to run a 7 pin HEI to control spark

heres the datalog...this was after i did the throttle adjustment...you can see the spikes clearly...i wasnt touching the throttle...the idle was twitchy...just as if the timing was advanced

dont know if this would help or not but sure helped my idle problem... to start with when putting my motor together i undersized the crank pully so the entire pully system be running slower, with doing that the altnator spun slower to, i notice when around 800 rpm or lower id drop 13.4 volts to 12, anything higher then 800 rpm id get agood 14.4 .... so with head lights on and fans on this can become a problem, rpm would go up down up down.... i went into the injector settings and turned the battery correction for fuel injectors from .2 (default?) to .1, this seemed to help out a lot, no more idle stumbles... also im useing a Bosch style idle valve with PWM....

dont know if they can help out bud but thats my two pennies :P

i dont know if the capacitor is there or not...i bought the unit pre assembled...i willl try to contact the person i got it from...what about the other strange things that i am seeing...the ve numbers and all...what could those be
thanks for the advise brain dead x ...what you are saying makes sense but there is nothing i can do now....i just raised my idle speed for now

My idle dropped when the fan kicked in, down to loading the alternator up. Running closed loop idle valve control now and it catches it ok..
