Which Version MSII Daughter Card do I have ??

Post by wildgoody »

I got the engine running again after blowing a hole in a piston,
and now I'm looking at installing the MSII Daughter Card. And
I know the solder mask is green and blue for the different versions
of the card, but the card I have looks blue-green, so I'm a little
concerned that I might load the wrong code and damage something.

I wouldn't be worried about this if the bootloader jumper was on
one pin, but it's not, and I want to get the right .s19 file

Thanks

Darrin,

Look for the CAN chip on MS-II - it a 6 pin chip at the opposite end of the MS-II from the 3x2 BDM header:

(marked CAN above)

If you have the CAN chip on your MS-II, you have a V2 MegaSquirt-II. If there is nothing there, you have a V1 MS-II. If there is a three pin transistor, you have a beta MS-II.

Hey, that helps, I was looking for a
pic just like that to see if I had the
CAN chip, and I do :D I have spent
so much time :RTFM: on this site, there
is sooooo much to find, and the BBS is
so big, I don't know if I can ever find my
way back to where I was, or find stuff too.

Thanks Lance
