First , install a fuel pressure gauge , mount it on the windshield with
Ty-Raps or something so you can read it through the windshield while your
inside the car , DO NOT put it in the car , unless you want to go out and buy
an electric gauge (about 80-100$) .

You do not know that the fuel presure is right at all times unless you
have a gauge .

Does your TPS meter read correctly ?
Does your IAT sensor read close to the temps underhood ?
Does your CLT sensor read like you would expect ?

The fact that the car will idle is a good start .
The fact that you can drive it with no vacuum to the MAP Sensor is amazing .

If ALL of the above is working properly , it sounds to me like your
VE table is completely wacked .

After you verify the Fuel Press. , TPS , IAT and CLT readings
are all where they should be you can go to the next step .

"Export" your "VE Table.VEX" and add it as an attachment to your next Post .

I'll get an E-Mail automatically when you reply , see-ya then .

thanks for the reply just one more thing before i head out to the shop
when the car is at idle the crank timeing should be at 10 BTDC right? and the same for the spark advance gauge on the screen? yes?

well thanks again

No , the spark should be whatever your Advance Table says it should be at
that particular MAP and RPM Bin .

You are probably thinking of the "Limp Home Mode" built into EDIS .

The only time the timing should be "fixed" at 10 degrees is when
EDIS is not recieving a SAW output from MS .

If your timing is staying at 10 degrees you need to check your wiring
and/or the ignition setup in MT . Something is not setup right .

well im in way over my head
the 10 BTDC thing i got from the setting up page says this
"After the engine is started the trigger can be fine tuned by setting a fixed advance (for example, 10 degrees) and adjusting the trigger angle until you see 10 degrees indicated on the flywheel using a normal timing light."

but it only stays at 10 when it idles and when i rev it with out the map plugged in it will go advance higher than 10
if i try to rev it with the map it well back fire out of the intake from cylinder 2 and 3 i think it was

and your tell me that if everyone unpluged there map valcum line they woulnd be able to drive it?

wow i feel like i have a long way to go
but ill go saturday and find out some more and see if i can give you some more feedback

My Bad .

Sounds like you are running other than the standard B&G Code .

I'm not familiar with the other Code Versions .

Do you know why you have one of the other versions ?
In other words it would help if I (or anyone else offering help) knew
exactly what features/modifications your engine has and what you expect
to accomplish with MS .

Some of the stuff that anyone would need to know :
Is your engine completely stock or what has been changed .
Turbo ?
Cam ?
Compression ?
Direct Port Injection or TBI ?
MS-I or MS-II
What Board version 2.2 , 3.0 etc.
What Code Version

If someone else setup your MS and they won't talk to you anymore ,
and you don't know what's up you may have to start over with
setting up your MS so that you are not in the dark .

Well alrighty then......

How much do you know about how engines work ?

Do you know for instance what size injectors you have , that is ,
how many pounds per hour they flow at a given pressure ?

You may have to spend alot of time doing Google searches on the Internet .

You may be suprized at how much you can learn doing this .

If you don't have a fairly good grasp of how and why engines work ,
then I can't help you , I just don't have the time to do this step by step
for you , sorry :| .

If I were you , I would start out by reading everything on the MS website ,
and everytime you run into a word you don't understand , stop and do a
Google Search on that word until you can understand what you are reading ,
and remember , sometimes pictures are worth a thousand words .

If I'm wrong let me know , I'll keep watching this thread .

P.S. you were supposed to send a VEX file of your VE Table ,
if you can figure out how to do it , go ahead and send it .
