AE86 won't run for more than 5-10 seconds
The crazy thing about this is, the car used to run just fine... i had it running (abet kinda rough) before the winter on the megasquirt, and it started just fine before. I have changed the code in the megasquirt to 029o... and i scaled the VE table down to a more reasonable thing (before i had it running way to rich... my NB O2 sensor was broken and it was reading 14.7 all the time... i wanted it at 12.5-13 under load and boost. so i made the boosted values a little to high... VEs of around 150%. I later discovered this is to high and i was running really rich)
I have copies of my old maps, old MSQ, and old spark tables.
My car setup:
-AE86 with a 4AGZE (1.6 liter supercharged 4 cyl)
-removed supercharger and installed turbo a few years back.
-Ford EDIS ignition with 36-1 crank wheel.
-440 cc/min low impedance 7MGTE (supra) injectors (and i don't have the flyback board yet... i'm working on getting it) with MS running PW mangement.
-MegaSquirt V2.2 board
-codebase MSnS-E v029o running fuel and spark
Changes i have made to the car since it was running:
-installed an LC-1
-changed code to 029o
-changed upper portion of VE table to more resonable numbers
-installed Error* MS daughterboard ... this is of paticular importance... i setup every aspect of the daughterboard with the intention of making it easier for me to upgrade the features of my car without having to solder in new chips and wires every time. When i first tried to start the car i was getting no RPM signal from the EDIS. I found i had soldered the LM1815 circut to U4 with the intention of using the crank wheel decoding later... this effectively killed my RPM signal, and when i cut the wire it worked perfectly, this is also true of a ground i used ruining the O2 sensor reading... this i also fixed. I looked at the rest of the connections and didn't see anything that would make the system run incorrectly.
-stored the car for 6 months over the winter.
now i know things have a way of ruining themselves during the winter... and now i suspect that i may not have preserved the gas as much as i should. i added stabil to a tank... but i think i diluted it with fresh gas before i put it away, as i had to drive it to my parents house.
so the reason i'm posting this and not just troubleshooting everything is:
The car is 1.5 hours away at my parents house, and the car i'm driving right now gets about 20 miles per gallon, plus paying the tolls costs me 10$ total, so going home to work on it costs me about 20$, every time. I have school in the morning so i need to come back, and i have a race this sunday that i need to participate in to be in a good standing for the points.
So i need to manage my time as efficently as possible, i don't want to waste time troubleshooting when i can ask for help and get better direction about where to look.
I'm attaching a couple datalogs from my starting attempts... the wideband kept shutting off during starting and then warming itself back up, so its readings can't be trusted. And also my first MSQ, and my MSQ as i left it after trying numerous starts and changes.
