IAC stepper motor.

Post by Sam Powell »

I just read the most recent post about this, and the link that was in that post, so am feeling a little overwhelmed at this point. I hope I am not jumping into the deep end too soon. I have had MS running on my turbo charged slant six for about 18 months, and it works well, but not efficiently. Economy is bad, mostly I think because the timing is not controlled with MS to allow for good ignition advance at cruise, and still have retard under boost, so I run a fairly retarded timing to control preignition. So here I am on the verge of MSII land, and am trying to figure out the GM IAC stepper motor on the TB I am using. It has two blue wires, and two green wires. Each pair has one each with a black tracer and a white tracer? How are these wired into the board? One pair appears to be openning and the other closing, but I dont; know which connection on the board is which. Can anyone help out here? Thanks. Sam
