EFI without TPS possible ?

Post by Nickel_5000tq »

It s not possible to add a TPS on a 100Q 1989 Audi 2.3l 5 cyl. throttle body.

I would like to test a MS without the TPS.

The TPS is definitely not mandatory, you may be able to use MAP enrichment completely to do acceleration enrichment (that's what I do), thus eliminating the need for the sensor. The only other thing you loose is the ability to flood clear. I believe you need to ground the TPS sensor input if you're not using it, otherwise the TPS value will increase over time.
