The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.
This forum is for discussion of MicroSquirt (TM) from Bowling and Grippo. The MicroSquirt information site is at www.usEasyDocs.com

Looks like it might just be possible to squeeze a TechEdge 2D1 WBO2 board inside the case with the MicroSquirt. A complete high performance ECU in a package like that - excellent!!
That means I'll be putting my hand (and money) up for one as soon as available.
I'm sure all the vendors will have these little gems in stock when they are available. I hope Bruce and Al are prepared for the influx of initial orders!! Sounds like this is going to be very popular model.
Jerry, put me on the list for one (e-mail sent), Thank you!!
2-microsquirts
2-map sensors (Low boost turbo application)
2 other ends of the connector for harness hookup.
Might need some standard sensors if they are available for an oil cooled system to to modify the cold start solution.
Want to run COP for four coils (2cyl with two plugs per cylinder).

Thanks,

Hey jim - is this an air-cooled Ducati? Instead of running four coils, why not grab a pair of coils from a four cylinder bike that usually runs wasted spark. That way you can fire one coil per cylinder, and have each coil drive two spark plugs.
Thanks, it's an Air/Oil cooled BMW R1100S Turbo boxer. Good idea. The late model factory pack might do that, but I thought that COP might provide better performance with less noise. I think we are talking about two spark events per cycle now, so I can fire two COPs simultaneously as well. The late model Suzuki's all have COP, and the Hayabusa would be very close to my app. I don't know if the late model boxer BMWs have also converted to COP yet. They do have knock sensors built in, a WBOS for both exhausts, dual plugs with a variable delay for the second plug firing, and EFI.

Sounds like a good project there Jim. The variable second spark would be interesting to experiment with, just to see what kind of gains there would be (other than emissions). Keep me posted.
