I am running into some space issues, how close to the end radii can i put the vstacks? if i put the center of the stack on the bend centerline radius, i will hit the heater box in back, and the hood in front, but if i shorten the box a bit, it wont be symetrical, but it will fit in the engine compartment.

You can tighten it up back there. As long as it can draw from the top and bottom it will be fine, it is real easy for that back one to get more air since the flow gets all jambed up there.

OK, this will better describe what I might be forced to do because of clearance issues, is either one better than the other?

Either one will work, The vertical offset may be nice if your inlet is offset the same direction.
I commonly shorten the ends the way you show in the lower pic.
Those look to be the same air bell I am using lately, The lip is rolled at the top and contains some machine oil in there so they weld a bit dirty. I weld from both sides to try and clean it up.

You mean the inlet should open up into the top of the box, where the air horns are in the first picture? I was planning on going into the bottom of the box, like in the other drawings. The problem is, that top right corner will nestle into an area of the hood without bracing, if I put a tube coming out of the top right side, it will hit the hood bracing. with the offset horns, would It be ok now to run the inlet into the high point of the radius, or the center of the bend?
I don't know if I have tolld you this or not, but this box is going on individual throttles. I know you have lots of experience with these.
Boy, let me tell you that this WHOLE CAR has given me trouble like this.
My next project is to try to run Mandrel 3" stainless exhaust through a Vega!
BTW, I got the horns from Total Performance in Wallingford, CT. They make ford roadster t-buckets and stuff. I think I paid about $18 per. They are about 1-7/8 inside diameter, and about 3.3 inches at their widest point of the bell.

With the airbox low run the air in low.
I run the same horns but have been getting them from the guy that spins them, he also has 2 1/4 and 2 1/2" sizes.

Total Performance/Inglese Induction does a lot of work with Webers and I think they have local spinning shops do most of their work for them in Wallingford. If you call them, they might be willing to give you the number of the shop, maybe they can give you a better deal.
