damn . problem is back continously opened injector plz help!
im trying to get started with MS1 v2.2
VW 2l 16vTurbo
running MSnExtra with EDIS but still have the car's ECU all wired with the injectors disconnected to have the ignition still controlled by the exhisting system
after few crankings with some "bup bup b ubp" into the exhaust realised that the injectors were looking fully open while cranking after seeing fuel squirting trough my exhaust manifold crack......lifted the fuel rail and was seeing 4 big cones of fuel while cranking
cranking rpm treshold set at 100 rpm because my starter isn't spinnin really fast compared to some other cars i saw
my cranking pulse is 5.1ms at 16C
i tried a few ReqFuel numbers under 5 ms
what should i look for?
got a headache now lots of fuel fumes heh and dont worry i dont smoke ;)

looks like the ECU gives a continuous ground to the injectors .. weird.. my wiring is correct i used diffrent colors for inj. ground and positive so no mistake possible on that side..
don'T worry i'll change my oil before running the engine again

You want the cranking threshold to be quite a bit above your actual cranking speed, and I would set it to at least 200 rpm, otherwise you may get very hard starting.
Do your INJ LEDs work properly on the stim (flashing, and changing speed with the changes to the rpm pots)?

Do you have a stim? Do the STIM's INJ1/2 LEDs flash? If you don't have a stim, you need to figure out if the injectors are shorted because of MegaSquirt (a stim would show this) or a short in your harness.
You can check both pins of your injector connectors to find a fault in your harness:
- Remove the DB37 connector from MegaSquirt (and the relay board if you have one).
- Remove all the connectors from all the injectors. With the ignition on, you should have 12V on one pin of each injector connector (I suspect you will, otherwise the injectors wouldn't fire),
- On the OTHER pin in each connector, check the resistance from that pin to ground (the engine block) - it should be infinite.
- If it is not, you have a short in your harness that will fire the injectors full time, until it is fixed.
- Trace the wires you checked for ground to find out where they are shorting out.
If the resistance is infinite, then the problem may be with MegaSquirt, but I am not familiar with the MSnS-E mods, s I can't comment. Perhaps someone else will jump in, if that is the case.

resistance is infinite between inj ground and block
but each 4 stays energised with the ECU ON but wont fire untill first cranking.. then goes continuously ON and stays ON untill i turn the ECU Off
now with the stim inj 1 led flashes but not 2
but had problems getting RPM with the stim but on the car was raising to 200-250rpm while cranking
seeing on megatune PWM inj 4ms while cranking
seeing the Fan/Output4 keeps toggling On-Off .....FIXED...
in real time display
IAC DC (%) is at 100%
everything else is looking okay in that screen
humm wondering to know whats happening down here :S

first timne i had the trouble i found that C15 was loose and resoldered it and all the MS worked well for the day
the day after at noon i tried again to get my engine started at my break to play on the maps a bit but nothin.. DAMN the problem is back
looks like the soldering was bad AGAIN! soryr but i suck on soldering this is a friend who soldered my MS for me then i tried to solder it back but i dont have a good iron for this.. they heats too high for little solder and solder wont glue on the board ....
could i had burnt the capacitor??
no shorts in harness, injectors works well with my VWG60 injection
injectors stays energised after a first stimulation when i crank .. first they are off then at the first squirt they stay open even if im not cranking but if i let them disconnected then crank then connect they dont fire... they need to fire once to stay energised. i connect disconnect the injector and keeps spraying so ground is there continuously and i need to know why
MS&S&E EDISmod MS1 v2.2
here's a config please tell me if everythoing is correct for the MS&S&E
