Once idle fuel is tuned properly, and idle speed is set correctly, there is no way MS can cause a higher idle speed unless it's opening a fast idle valve. Your engine must be getting a bunch of extra air from somewhere to idle above 2k. Vacuum leaks (as already mentioned, or a disconnected but leaking IAC valve might be to blame.

My bad....the topic kind of took a turn in a different direction. The idle problem is solved (for the time being). The problem now is my either my IAC seems to be malfunctioning…or my ecu.renns wrote:Your last post said 'still open for suggestions', so it sounded like you hadn't solved the problem. Glad you got it sorted out!
