How do you log knock?

Post by Clifton »

I'm running MSII, 2.36MT. I have a knocksense with it's output going to JS4. Is there something I need to turn on other than knock settings under sensor calibration? I didn't see anything in my log.

Clifton,

At the end of the megasquirt-II.ini file, in the [Datalog] section, you need to add a line like this:

Code: Select all

entry = knock, "Knock", int, "%d"
Any of the other values from the [Output Channels] section can be added to the datalog in a similar manner.

Would this also allow me to use one of the gauges to view it in real time if I configure it in the ini file too?

Clifton,

Yes, I believe so. Try it and let us know how it works.
