CLT correction factors with Xtau

Post by jonfx4com »

I looked inthe manual http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/xtau.htm
and cant see any mention of the influence of coolant temperature. The factors in the default code seem huge with 100% at 70C, 1200% at 54C and 20000% at -40C

Is there any documentation on these CLT settings that I can digest before trying to make it work.

You can't make X-tau work for coolant warmup. It requires an entirely different loop and operates on a scale orders of magnitude different than accel (ms vs minutes). When I looked at the curve I got on a simulation of the X-tau loop, it was a simple curve that followed the coolant warmup curves I have seen. Given that we are starting to get limited by RAM on the HCS12, I decided not to implement this, but left it in the code for possible future use. There are already a 10 point warmup tables you can put in for cranking, after start and warmup. These tables will allow you to put in any shape curve you want. I think it is much more flexible than the X-tau loop. When someone shows me these won't do the job, I will consider putting in an X-tau loop for warmup.
