What to do with holley four-barrel universal throttle body ?

Post by jpassi »

I have Holley's universal 1000cfm throttle body with tps and iac http://www.holley.com/9900-171.asp . I was wondering what to do with iac, because I have Megasquirt V2.2 and if I understand correctly, I can't use iac with it and I should use a fast idle solenoid. Can I just leave iac alone and use fis or should I remove iac completely and plug its hole somehow? My car will be turbocharged.
All answers and ideas are welcome. Thanks for advance!

Well, IAC does work with MS v2.2 mainboard, but requries you to have the MSII chip. You didn't mention which chip your running on your v2.2 mainboard. If you are using the MSI chip, you could upgrade the chip only and get control of your IAC.

See here for more details, http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/IAC.htm

Check here, you want the MSII daughtercard. It replaces the MSI chip.

http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/mega ... -p-86.html - worth $90 IMO just for the IAC control, let alone all the other features and improvments.

Good luck.
