someone please help overfueling
so far i have eliminated the wideband using 470 resistor have it all configured both mt and log works read the same afr
right now to the problem it doent matter what i change the afr sits around 10 and jumps up and down when revving
what i have noticed is that my map gauge will not go below 55 but does go up alot when revved
datalog and msq attached
my map sensor goes from the ecu to the inlet manifold correct??
also when i changed to rpm enrichments the car became more stable at tick over and revved alot better
please please help a novice squirter squirting right

Yes, the signal needs to go from the ecu directly to the intake manifold. If you use a throttle body port, make sure its not a ported one. Its better to just go right to the manifold if you can. On the 20vt, you can likely use the same port the fuel pressure regulator uses without any issues.
Takle a look in the tuning section in the MegaManual. You should be able to tweak your readings down further by fiddling the VE bins and the timing at idle. 55kpa is a little high. If you don't find it, let me know and I will dig up something another MSer wrote for me long ago.
She runs!
hmm
also my map goes into the intake right next to the fuel regulator
if i need to reflash my ecu how on earth do i di that my ecu came allready flashed
cheerss

Go and download the latest code and look through the folder. There should be a setup readme doc in it. Your NOT going to need to use the boot jumper since your upgrading from the Extra code. If your running any Bosch sensors, your going to need to use Easy Therm and burn some custom code for it. Pretty easy actualy.
Its a lot of reading, and seems a lot more complicated than it is. I can do it in my sleep now (I did my last one after having been working for 48hrs straight to get the car online...).

fuel
i changed a fuel pipe today because it was bulging and there was a shed load of fuel pressure there im running the standard mk1 fuel pump and accumilator with a audi a3 fuel pump relay could it be i have to much fuel pressure causing me to run rich???
can i adjust it somehow ???

Code 029s is actually an alpha test code (that's why it is in the alpha directory) but will probably become the "latest" code soon as it contains a few small fixes over 029q2.
Does you inlet air temperature display correctly in Megatune?
Are your fuel pressure regulator and return pipe working correctly?
With a blocked return line those efi pumps can crank out some large pressures (hence bulging line.)
James
PS. for others reading this thread, anyone using Easytherm to load new sensor tables into 029q will already have avoided the incorrect tables bug.

It is normal for the kpa to drop as you rev it because you are opening the throttle. If you rev it up the let the throttle snap shut you'll see a very low kpa reading due to engine braking.
