This next question is from my ignorance of the VR stuff. So far every VR setup I have played with worked soon as it was hooked up. But are there any guidelines as to what we should look for when "tweaking" the pots? "Tell it works..." isn't what I need. I am interested in some sort of test procedure if there is such a thing. Like "you want to see x volts... at point b" kind of deal.
With the current hall setup, its simply hardware. Works the same every time period. Nothing to adjust. I make it, the end user installs, and it runs. If it doesn't run, I know its not an issue on my end. I DEFINATELY like the simplification, but would need some way of insuring the same type of results. I test it then send it out and I am through with it. When I am remote troubleshooting issues, I need to know what the cause is. I need to know my setup portion is 100% and be able to quickly direct them to whatever they did wrong.
Just my own thoughts. Perhaps the more complex hardware setup IS the best way for what I am normally doing. But I am always one for trying new things!
