bmw v12 ignition edis
Megasquirt 2.2
as is the engine runs as 2 m20 6 cylinder engines 2 crank sensors on the 60-2 wheel. 1 coil per side and one dis cap per side
now what my plan was pulling 2 edis 6 units and sensors and a 36-1 wheel feed the ms with the pip from one of the units and send the saw to both units but with the PIP and SAW needing to be synchronized so i dont thing that would work. can the MS take 2 pip and sent 2 saw
i would like to go coilpacks but is there any way of doing it and even working the 2 coils i am not sure how to do that. do i need to fit 2 Megasquirt one for each bank or what are my options
thank you

not sure how to handle that many cylinders with single MS... you cant use dizzy, cos there are two of them... I supposed two eids6 system hooked together somehow would work.... but i'm not sure, sorry...
two ignition amps off the same ecu output and run a waisted spark kind of a set up maybe

thats what i'm saying.... to eque34_drift wrote:i dont really like the system also you would need to blow through the meters otherwise i could not get a even message between both sides. it would work fairly easy with a twin turbo setup and suck through the meters
wasted spark on v12 would require 6 ignition outputs...e34_drift wrote:two ignition amps off the same ecu output and run a waisted spark kind of a set up maybe
checkout another ECU... i think it has 8 ignition outputs so you could run wasted spark and it's somewhat more expensive, but it includes wideband controller, so by the time you buy two ms2's and lc-1 you will spend more than once fully configured another ECU...

MS does not have 6 coil drive outputs...
I think MS1/extra has 4, and that includes modifications to the board....
your idea with driving two coils form 1 output might or might not work.... depending on how much overlap there is in rotors....
