VE tables

So I just installed my ms and got my car started on a MS I V2.2 I am using the MT 2.25. The manual says after getting idle smooth you should adjust your VE table kpa's to lower your map as much as possible. This step totally confuses me. I understand how to open the VE table and change the values but I dont see how to watch the map nor do I know what I should be changing the VE table values to. Can someone explain this more to me?

If you use the tuning menu you can see the VE table visually as well as some gauges.
Use the arrow keys to move around the map and SHIFT-UP, SHIFT-DOWN to change the value.
Make sure you Burn when you've finished.

Yeah I could see the gauges on the main panel in the background but when the VE table opens they freeze in place.

That's why I said use the Tuning menu.
