Hello,
Would any of you guys with actual running, driving cars like to post up your ignition tables? I'd love to see some just to know what some of yours look like as I try to calculate mine.

I'm squirting a V6 but I'd be interested in seeing any if you don't mind! I think all the newbies like me would like this.

Thanks guys,
Fred

Ok, I'll start! This map makes my car start and idle well enough and drive around at about 10mph but hasn't been tested any higher yet!

I have a 2003 Nissan Maxima, 3.5L, DOHC 24 valve engine, about 250 hp to the wheels if it was tuned right :)

Hmm, not sure why the pic didn't show up with the IMG tags...

I 1st must say I don't know much about spark maps.

But how I am reading your screen shot is that you have meny confliting tables there in the 100 kpa range, I don't know how MegaSquirt would react when it gets to tho's parts of the table.

You may be right, not sure what I'm doing on the spark maps yet. But, it looks like the degrees advance increase pretty steadily and predictably from 500-5200 RPM, then the RPM cells are for some reason 5200 on up instead of rising, need to fix that.

Anyway, I'd like to see others maps if you guys like to share, didn't mean to make a post about my map since it's no where near done but thought I should post it up just to get us started.

Read this post by Lance

Theres a few excel and open office spreadsheets throughout that thread that will use Lances guide to generate a starting spark table.

Hope this helps

Yes, I've read that thread a few times it's very helpful thanks!

I just thought people would like to see a collection of usable spark maps that some of our members have put together.

Looks like your table needs some work yet Allen.

Here is mine. Engine is a Ford small block V8 with approx 9.5:1 compression. Table is still pretty conservative, could probably add 2* or more to most bins.

That looks like way too much advance everywhere to me. Have you confirmed the timing with a light?

Confirmed with a light the best I can...

And why do you think it's too much timing? It's well known that most older american V8's like about *36 mechanical timing and a vacum advance of approx 15* (which gets added to the mechanical advance for a maximum advance of 51*). Most people can get by with a little more than that.

Lance's spreadsheet shows the same table but with more timing...
