overhaul/Clean the injectors - as good as new ?
i wonder if injectors could be cleaned and tested and then do the same service as new injectors. OF course cleaning them is much cheaper than buying new ones. But is it like: ok, you can clean them but they still are worn internally and will work unpredictably in several months time ??
I have a set of used injectors with unknown mileage and condition. If they can be made as good as new I will use them, but if I had to first pay for cleaning/flow testing them and change them after 20k miles again anyway, then I would be adviced better to buy new ones right from the start ?!?!!
BTW: the injectors are the common? Lucas type probably. Look like: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-new-Rover-V ... dZViewItem
Thanks and Regards,

BTW - most factory authorized repair shops (in the USA) use reman injectors as standard replacements. In the USA the term 'remanufactured' is also a legal term that requires the highest standards, whereas 'rebuilt' indicates only enough was done to make it function properly when tested. A bit of trivia that can save a lot of money in the long run.
