No resistor with LoZ/PWM?

Post by Philip Lochner »

I would just like to confirm:

When using PWM to drive LoZ injectors , it is NOT necessesary to have ANY ballast resistors?

Currently, I am using ballast resistors and MS-2 in HiZ mode to drive the LoZ (2.5Ohm) injectors but I really would like to drive them using PWM.

I have modified my MS-2 as found by Turbo4V and will install an additional wire from the 12V feed of the injector to the emitters of the flyback trannies having broken the track to the rest of MS.

Replacing 12 injectors will not be cheap...
Kind regards
Philip

Phil,
That's correct, no resistors are required when running PWM mode...just be very sure to correctly set the PWM parameters, otherwise you'll burn up the injectors/MS really quickly..
