I am looking for this exact info. Can you point me to the specifics? I have a built MS1 V3 and would rather use the stock 7MGTE Ignitor versus running 2 extra VB921's.

Phil at ExtraEFI.co.uk had one of my Honda RSX coils firing off an extra box. I bet he may chine in on the details. They require 12 v and ground and I think a 5v square wave to fire.

I'd be curious about running the coils in pairs off a VB921 for wasted spark.

Late 80's RX7 twin tower coil packs have an intergrated driver that will accept a 5V TTL input. I've used these on a number of 6 cylinder turbo applications with good results.

help me out, if i wire 4 LS1 coils , 2 coils per MS2 or microsquirt driver, I could run cyl's 1-4 / 2-3 in a waste spark configuation? This is for a honda motorcycle future-squirt project.

I'm not sure of the MS coil driver can drive two coils in parallel, but the configuration should work. Why not use GM twin tower coils, that way you are driving only one coil per driver.

I was thinking about the twin towers, but this still requires the honda ignitors to fire, plus no way to seal the spade terminals under towers. If the MS2 or micro squirts can translate the signal from the pick-ups and send it to the LS1 coils that have an ignitor built in I can kill 3 birds w/ one stone. eliminate ignitors (prone to failure), sealed connections and have high energy coil near plug parts. I work at GM dealer & these parts are readily availible to me. :D
I'm gathering facts for parts collection to squirt this winter.

If they have the igniters built in, they should work. I though you were using the VB921 to drive two coils in prallel.

Nology has some nice igniters and motorcycle coils BTW: http://www.nology.com

I'm using stock parts now. I'm gearing up for a squirt project on the bike soon. hoping the msquirt will fill all my needs. the ignition takes back seat to the EFI, but i would like the options to upgrade. plus I know how well those coils work on GM's, If the trigger will run these coils, i can get great ignition and save BIG BUCKS.

I researched the LS1 coils, they only need a pulsed "off" trigger, low reference signal. coil is powered w/ B+, just waits for a go signal. my mechanical advance and pickups should work ok.
