The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.
This forum is for discussion of MicroSquirt (TM) from Bowling and Grippo. The MicroSquirt information site is at www.usEasyDocs.com

A production run has started and should be done by the end of this week. Then they have to be programmed, tested and placed in cases. While that is going on, harnesses will be made. Then they have to be shipped to the dealers. So yes I think they will be ready by mid-August, maybe sooner.

And if there is, will they have stock of the breakout board as well, as it looks perfect for my instalation
The unit will be available in the UK along with the other MS products, when the distributors stock the unit will depend on them.
I know that diyautotune will have stock on the unit...

Good stuff, I can't wait to see what all of the very clever people around here do with this thing. I plan learn from their experiences and ride on their coat tails.
It will be great to be able to put uS on test before the summer is out. I can't wait. In the meantime, I'm working on getting my honey-do list completed so I can have some time to myself with uS

Cheers,

There will be stocking them once Bruce and Al start taking orders from the distros. I won't be as quick off the block as Jerry because I still have to work out how I will support them. I'm not going to just stock and sell them if I cannot provide the same level of support that I have been doing in the past. So if you want to be the very first with one, then you will need to order from Jerry.
Update (7/29/07): I have just programmed the bootloader in qty 55 MicroSquirt units. These boards will go back to the contract manufacturer for the remainder of the assembly (conformal coating and case assembly), along with the harness. At which time they will come back to me for final checkout and loading of the current MS-II base code.
Jerry at diyautotune.com is in place to have these available when I give the final checkout thumbs-up, which could be as soon as late this week or early next.
Which code is going to be loaded into the microsquirt? 2.687 or a 2.87 variant? I'll probably end up loading up a 2.87 even if it's still in beta because I need some of the triggering options.
Looking forward to my email from Jerry@DIYautotune
