TEMP SENDER

Post by pommie02 »

Having searched the net I have found that a lot of bike conversions dont use a water temp sensor. apparently it causes over rich idle problems and fouls the spark plugs.
would it be a problem to use a resistor of some kind to trick the MS in to thinking the engine is already warm.
if so how do i disable the warm up function and cold start settings.

Location ....Australia, we dont have problems with the cold weather

With my MS1 I have used a NTC theremister and because the bike is air cooled and the sensor is on top of the cam cover and heats up pretty slowly I have set the warm up table to be 100% at around 48c and it works fine. Id imagine that the micrsquirt will be the same and I live where you are!!! :D  :D
