trigger wheel and wasted spark?

Post by rug »

I have been reading the manual and thinking about this for a while now...

Question: Can I use a custom trigger wheel (like a 60-2) and use the dual output ignition for waster spark? (the same way EDIS does it but without EDIS ;) )

Reading the Dual Spark table 3a I think that it should work. It says
M-N crank wheel | Single crank wheel input | M (≠0) | N (≠0) | Input 1 n/a Output 1/2 alternate | 4-cyl wasted spark, crank trigger and no cam trigger
So, using a custom trigger wheel, and then a coilpack from for example an EDIS enabled car, connecting each coil to a seperate output should work, right?

I think I answered my own question ;)

Just searched the forums a bit, and I am now 95% sure this will work.
