flood clear settings

Post by pommie02 »

Just a quick question..
i see that the flood clear voltage has a default setting of 3.5 volts.
does it mean over that voltage that the injectors will not inject?
do i need to alter this setting ?...and if i do, is it 12 volts ?

This value should be what you get from your throttle position sensor at 70% or so of WOT. It is so the ECU can sense when you are opening the throttle substantially while cranking (to try to clear a flooded engine).

You would need to adjust this if your TPS voltage isn't above 3.5V at WOT. It would never be 12V, as the TPS gets VREF from the ECU... the max TPS voltage would never be above VREF (5V).
